At last! An advice service
designed specifically to meet your needs
The South East Care Advice Service (SECAS) is being rolled out across the region through the Care Association network to provide you with advice and support on workforce
development issues such as skills profiling for your staff, accessing the right training, workforce planning, and much more.
The Learning and Skills Council has contracted with Skills for Care to provide this service to smaller providers of adult services in the independent sector. In turn, Skills for Care is in the process of contracting with a Care Association near you to deliver this service, so you will be working with fellow care providers who understand your business, and the issues you face.
What will the South East Service do for you?
The service will deliver one to one support to you through a network of care specialist advisers. These advisers will work with you and your staff to provide individual development
plans and a workforce development plan for your service. This process is likely to identify learning and training needs within your organisation and the advisers will act on your behalf to refer you to the most appropriate training provision to meet these needs, and will access public funds where available.
Your adviser will keep in touch with you to check that the training met your needs and she or he will work with you to identify any other requirements - and source support for you - on matters relating to business development, supervision practice, leadership and management development, and HR practices.
